Telecommunications Officer (Dispatch)

Job Description:  Answer/Receive calls for police, fire, and emergency medical services, dispatch public safety units, operate various telecommunication equipment, prepare reports, and maintain files.

Compensation/Benefits:  Starting salary is $16.81/hour.  Adjustments based on experience. Certificate pay based on level of certificate held.  Paid holidays, sick leave and vacation.  Health and dental insurance paid for by the city for the employee.

Job Requirements:  Must be able to work weekends, holidays, shift work and nights.  Must be able to pass written test, oral review board and extensive background investigation.  Must also submit to psychological testing and physical exam/drug screen.
